Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
Hello, I am Melissa (Missy) Marino. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #13940) and School Counselor passionate about supporting children and teens in their mental health and educational journeys. I hold a PPS credential in school counseling and have a wealth of experience working with students from Transitional Kindergarten to 12th grade. I like to call myself the counselor full of sunshine and rainbows.
Professional Background: I earned my Master of Arts in Educational and Clinical Counseling from Azusa Pacific University, where I gained a solid foundation in educational and clinical practices.
Work Philosophy: I believe that every individual deserves a safe and nurturing environment to thrive mentally and emotionally, regardless of age. In addition to my work with children and teens, I also provide therapy services to adults, acknowledging that mental health and wellness are essential across the lifespan. I love to use art and creativity to develop relationships with my clients. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based, focusing on empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth.

Personal Interests: Outside work, I cherish spending quality time with my family, including my beloved dog and cat. We also enjoy traveling and going to conventions. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important, so you'll often find me at the gym, running, or practicing yoga to stay balanced and energized.
